Calibration5.1

We didn't mange to exercise today cause Lionel had a headache in the morning. Aww ):

Another day then.

Studio day again!

We calibrated all the speakers today with a little help from Dolby... 's website of course.

Tweaking the dbx speaker optimizer to EQ the speakers and set the levels right. The dbx will send out pink noise through each speaker and an RTA mic is needed to pickup the noise so that the system can then EQ and calibrate the signal being sent into each speaker. We also then had to calibrate the amplifier driving the NS10's with an SPL meter set at A weighting so there is a slight reduction of the lower frequencies instead of using the C weighting where it is the full range of frequencies.

All done! Everythings working good!

Time to help set up for the upcoming conference!

Lionel's well decorated chips bowl!

My decently placed tea sachets. Hahah!

Time to start working on up coming projects.

Redo a short film in 5.1 surround, a couple of ambience sounds. Time to get cracking!

Spencer.
