GooGone

Woke up still quite nua today. Lack of sleep after the jet lag has passed.. Oh well~

Had an awesome game of morning ping pong with Harry and Phil. We're getting better everyday! Awesomeness~

I think we should really invest in our own ping pong bats. Whuahaha!

So headed to the studio after that to finish setting up the 5.1 surround system.

We realized that by using the presonus FP10 audio interface to channel 6 outputs for surround sound does not give us any volume control of the signals at all and therefore everything was HOT. So therefore we had to find some way to control the output. We decided to run them through a mixer.

Outputs 1 - 6, mainly 1 and 2 for left and right, 3 for center, 4 for the sub, 5 and 6 for surround left and surround right, goes into a mackie mixer where they come out to the speakers themselves.

For the near field NS 10s, we had to run the output from 7 and 8 into a smaller mackie mixer, then out to a dbx drive rack PX power speaker optimizer and then into a carver amplifier, into the NS 10's.

The dbx driverack PX

The carver amplifier.

So this is how it pretty much looks like now!

The process of doing up the studio was fun and I really love the engineering part. The making of cables and installing the system.

And this is a genius product. Sorry if I sound like advertising but this is an amazing invention. The sticky residue of duck tape and what not can be easily removed with this spray! Really gets the job done.

Should probably buy some back to Singapore..

We're heading out to do an interview over at San Jose tomorrow. Probably gonna spend the whole day there. Hope to get an early night tonight!

Spencer.
