Today was the day that we set out pretty early in the morning to head down to San Jose for the video interview at Golden Heritage Senior Living Center!
We entered into a place with class. Grand and prestigious. The elevators hadneedle readers! The place was really nice. It used to be a pretty grand hotel and thats why the facilities there are so grand.
So we got there and started shooting their morning worship service. It was pretty awkward cause I don't know what good shots to take ): And the worst part was that the white balance wasn't set for the first half of the entire service.. Aaahh ):
Thankfully Phil was there to help and guide me. So after the worship service we did something like an informal interview with the pastors and some of the residents of the home.
After which we moved on to a more intimate 1 on 1 interview with the more senior residents. This lady is a 101 years old!
And this japanese lady was so cute! Watching her share her story really warmed my heart. (:
So when we were done interviewing the residents, we moved on to interview the key staff of this senior home. They shared more about this facility, their job scope and how working here has changed them and gave them a purpose in life.
It was a pretty short but tiring day. I thought it would last all the way till evening. San Jose was about an hours drive away and so the journey, though long, was still scenic. I really enjoy the view here. It makes driving so much more meaningful and exciting!
Another day in the studio tomorrow. BUT morning exercise before that! RAR!!!
Spencer.
